For many, week 11 of pregnancy marks the beginning of a more stable phase of early pregnancy. Although you are still in the first trimester, some find that the most intense symptoms are slowly starting to subside. For others, symptoms are still evident, but the body may feel more accustomed to the changes.
Week 11 may therefore be characterized by both relief and continued adaptation.
What happens in the body in week 11?
In week 11 of pregnancy, hormone production gradually begins to stabilize. HCG levels are still high, but the increase slowly levels off. This may mean that nausea and fatigue for some people begin to subside.
The uterus continues to grow and slowly begins to move up above the pelvic rim, although this is not necessarily visible from the outside yet. The body's circulation continues to work harder than normal, which can cause symptoms such as slight dizziness or hot sensations.
